Staff

Meet our team of dedicated staff. Here you will find a little background information on each of our teachers, support staff, and childcare workers.

Mr. Kerry Sievert - Principal/Religion

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from UW-Oshkosh and a Masters degree in Administrative Leadership from UW-Milwaukee. I have been a Catholic school administrator since 1983 and have been at Divine Savior since 2013. Maintaining and developing a strong Catholic identity in the school is at the heart of my ministry. An equally strong focus is curriculum development, and I am proud of the staff's development of a personalized learning model with integration of blended learning opportunities for the students.

Ms. Andrea Freund - 3K

Ms. April Pereira - 4K & Literacy Coach

I began my teaching career back in 1999 when my youngest son turned 2. In 2009, I became licensed in
Early Childhood Education. I continue to learn different ways that I can help all the students at Divine Savior. I believe understanding the different concepts of literacy is important to help students in trying to enjoy what they are reading. Building confidence in children, creates a foundation for great reading success. My husband and I have been married since 1993. We have 2 children that are married and one almost there. We have one grandson. Kevin and I have also enjoyed fostering over 13 children in our home. My free time is spent with my family.

Mrs. Diane Cherney - ELA First & Second Grade

As a graduate of Silver Lake College with an English Major, I am right at home in our 1st and 2nd grade Literacy Center. My goal is to instill a love of learning in each child. Our Literacy Center is a busy room where learners grow academically, spiritually, and socially. In 2014, I was honored to receive the Herb Kohl Award for Excellence in Education. When I have free time, I enjoy biking, traveling with my family, and collecting antiques.

Mrs. Linda Jelinek - ELA - Sixth, Seventh & Eighth Grade

I graduated from Silver Lake College with a double major in Elementary Ed./Special Ed. I have been teaching for over 25 years in Catholic education. Recently I have changed my classroom over to a classroom for personalized learning and the children have embraced it! In 2016, I was also a recipient of the Herb Kohl fellowship award. I believe that all children learn at their own pace, and my job is to keep them moving forward and succeeding! I have been married for over 30 years to my husband Joshua. We have three grown children (all graduates of SPPS) and they have blessed us with four beautiful grandchildren. In our free time my husband and I like to hike the trails in our state forests and those in neighboring states. We love to collect mid century antiques, refinish antique furniture, and take our daily walks down to the nearby scout camp!
